APPLE VALLEY, Minn.--()--Thomas E. Jones, MD, has joined the Apple Valley Medical Clinic, the family medicine practice within the Apple Valley Medical Center, and will begin seeing patients on July 1. Prior to joining the clinic, Jones worked for the Allina Health Clinic in Burnsville and the Farmington Family Clinic in Farmington.

“My family and I have been patients of the Apple Valley Medical Center for years,” Jones said. “As a physician, I can be very picky when it comes to trusting other doctors to care for me or my family. The Apple Valley Medical Center has always had excellent providers and arguably the best Urgent Care in the area. After 15 years of living in this area, I jumped when the opportunity came up to join the organization that I’ve learned to trust for my own family.”

Jones earned his B.S. in engineering from Boston University’s College of Engineering and his M.D. degree from the Duke University School of Medicine. He completed his residency at the University of Tennessee, St. Francis Hospital. He is certified by the American Board of Family Practice, as well as in basic life support and advanced cardiac life support. He was one of only 19 family physicians out of more than 3,000 to be named one of Minnesota Monthly magazine’s “Best Doctors of 2014.”

“As our family medicine practice continues to grow, we look for qualified physicians such as Dr. Jones to serve our patients,” said Mike Foley, Apple Valley Medical Clinic administrator. “He is familiar with the south metro area and has an excellent reputation. We know he will add an important element to the continuum of care we offer our clinic patients, whether they are here for preventive care, diagnosis or treatment.”
