NCI Wins Position on $7.9 Billion NETCENTS-2 NetOps IDIQ Multiple-Award Contract

Company looks to expand support to DoD through new key contract vehicle

RESTON, Va.--()--NCI, Inc. (NASDAQ: NCIT), a leading provider of information technology (IT) and professional services and solutions to U.S. Federal Government agencies, announced today that it was awarded a position on the Network-Centric Solutions-2 (NETCENTS-2) indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity (IDIQ) multiple-award contract. With a ceiling value of $7.9 billion, the contract is the mandatory source for all Air Force units purchasing services that fall under the contract scope and is open to the Department of Defense (DoD) as well as other agencies. A follow-on to the NETCENTS-1 contract, NETCENTS-2 has a three-year base period and four, one-year option periods. NCI will provide support through the IDIQ’s full and open Network Operations and Infrastructure Solutions category.

Under the award, NCI will have the opportunity to provide solutions and services to support existing legacy infrastructure, networks, systems and operations, and evolving components that comply with the Air Force’s enterprise architecture. Support will include network-centric IT; networking and security; voice, video and data communications; and system solutions and services to satisfy the combat support command, control, communications, computers, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (C4ISR) requirements for the Air Force and DoD worldwide.

“To meet its mission, the Air Force expects and deserves efficient and effective global network operations and infrastructure solutions, and NETCENTS-2 makes this possible,” said Brian J. Clark, NCI’s president. “We are very pleased to be awarded a position on this contract, as task orders under the predecessor vehicle were a key source of revenue for NCI over the past decade.”

NCI was awarded the NETCENTS-1 contract in September 2004.
