Werner Enterprises Honored Professional Drivers for Safety Achievements

OMAHA, Neb.--()--Werner Enterprises (NASDAQ:WERN), a premier transportation and logistics provider, honored four professional drivers earlier this week for their safety achievements during the company’s Second Quarter Associate Recognition Ceremony at its global headquarters in Omaha, Nebraska. Gary Higgins and Robert Fluharty received 3 million mile accident-free awards, while Gary Gray and Jeff Wessinger each were presented with a 2 million mile accident-free award.

To date, 1,258 professional Werner drivers have achieved 1 million accident-free miles, 184 have reached 2 million accident-free miles, 14 have attained 3 million accident-free miles, two have accomplished 4 million accident-free miles and one has accomplished more than 5 million accident-free miles. Professional Werner drivers who reach safe driving milestones of 1, 2 or 3 million miles are eligible to order a new truck and accessories as part of Werner’s three-tiered Million Mile Safe Driver Truck Program.
