Source Technologies Launches 8-Series Personal Teller Machine

Enhanced cash handling capabilities enable customers to withdraw exact cash

CHARLOTTE, N.C.--()--Source Technologies, a leading provider of integrated solutions for managing financial transactions and other secure business processes, announced the availability of its 8-Series Personal Teller Machine. Engineered specifically for retail banking transactions, Source Technologies’ Personal Teller Machine resides in the branch and communicates with the teller platform to automate transactions.

With a side-by-side cash acceptor and cash dispenser built within the self-service kiosk, Source Technologies’ 8-Series Personal Teller Machine has double the cash-handling capacity of its 6-Series while adding less than two inches to the depth of the unit. Financial institutions’ customers also have the ability to choose denominations to withdraw exact cash.

In addition to cash deposit and withdrawal, the Personal Teller Machine automates nearly all transactions historically handled by tellers, including official check issuance, all within just over one square foot – the smallest footprint in the banking self-service kiosk industry. By moving those common, repetitive transactions away from the teller line and to the self-service kiosk, financial institutions’ staff can focus on fulfilling more consultative roles and up-selling/cross-selling while reducing in-store queues and operational costs.

Source Technologies’ Personal Teller Machine workflow is also completely configurable, enabling financial institutions to determine what transactions they want to offer through self-service based on what makes the most sense for their institution. The Personal Teller Machine integrates with a financial institution’s core platform rather than the ATM platform, which enables the financial institution to produce targeted, personalized offers or messages for each individual customer while avoiding additional ATM fees.

“While the branch is here to stay, it is certainly changing, so financial institutions must find a way to service digitally-driven customers that demand a better experience in the branch,” said Keith Hamilton, CEO of Source Technologies. “Self-service kiosks are an integral part of these future-thinking branch designs, as they enable consumers to conduct transactions through a user-friendly, sleek design while maintaining a healthy balance between an institution’s physical and digital channels.”
