eTags Goes Beyond Providing Florida Vehicle Registration Services

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla.--()--Since launching in December 2014, eTagsDirect.com has processed thousands of Florida vehicle registration renewals. Although the majority of eTags customers who have reviewed the website have provided positive feedback on their experience, some local county officials are still opposing the small private business. Website representatives are commenting as to why they think many Florida drivers continue to favor the use of a private online registration service.

“eTags makes registration renewals services faster, easier and more convenient,” said Claudia Salinas, Marketing Manager at eTags. Salinas explained that they charge a service fee which, in addition to the state's fee for the renewal, provides customer with not only a premium experience that includes faster processing and shipment anywhere in the U.S., but also access to the eTags Customer Care team who have helped thousands of Florida residents identify and resolve issues with registration renewal processing. The eTags team also advertises their services on the web, making online renewal more accessible to Florida drivers than other registration service options.

The company’s spokeswoman went on to point out that customers also receive a free digital copy, an “eTag”, sent via email. This can be printed for temporary use until the official copy arrives in the mail. This key feature, access to email and phone support, and a few other add-ons are not provided when processing with other vehicle registration renewal services including the state. “Private brick and mortar agencies have been in place for years charging additional fees while still requiring one or more in-person visits. We sought to change that by continuously developing new technologies to make online processing more convenient and accessible for everyone.” Salinas added.

The availability of eTags online services could prove to have perfect timing. According to a DMV Wait Time Study, 65% of those surveyed are open to privatizing certain DMV related services. Florida is one of the states with higher than average wait times at the DMV. With Floridians waiting an average of 34.55 minutes at a routine DMV visit, Palm Beach County shutting down DMV offices which will more than likely create even longer wait times in that area, and consumer support for the privatization of some DMV services, eTags seems to be the future at work today.
