COVINGTON, La.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--LLOG Exploration (LLOG) and its partners Ridgewood Energy(1) and Stone Energy Corporation (NYSE: SGY) have drilled a successful exploration test at the Viosca Knoll 959 “Crown & Anchor” prospect. The initial exploratory well encountered greater than 50 feet of net oil bearing sand in a high-quality Miocene reservoir. LLOG owns 60% working interest in the discovery. LLOG is evaluating regional hosts regarding subsea development options for the project.
