Auxilion Launches New Service to Back up Busy Project Managers

  • Uses latest cloud and collaboration technology to provide global outsourced support service for IT project delivery

SHEFFIELD, England--()--Auxilion, the UK and Ireland cloud transformation and support company, has launched a new service designed to back up busy Project Managers. The new Project Management Support service (www.auxilion.com) provides project management people, processes and technology on demand.

Auxilion has invested over £500,000 in developing the new cloud based service which is available remotely to keep costs down. It is hosted on the Microsoft Azure cloud platform which facilitates global service delivery.

“As a result of the economic recovery following the financial crash, Project Managers are under pressure as never before as organisations look to implement projects that had previously been shelved,” commented Paul Schmitz, Chief Sales Officer, Auxilion.

“Our service gives project managers back 40% of their time by delivering a lot of the generic tasks associated with overall project delivery such as administration and support. This frees them up to focus on key elements such as stakeholder management, budget control or managing a wider portfolio of projects at the one time.”

He added, “Our philosophy is that much of IT support is already provided remotely so why not a cost effective remote support service for project managers?”

Auxilion is already providing project support services to a number of organisations including Irish forestry and renewable energy company, Coillte and across multinational service providers such as HP and BT through its parent company, I.T. Alliance Group.

Research published last year by Lero, the Irish Software Research Centre, found that many companies and public sector organisations are struggling to deliver projects effectively, especially in multi-project environments.

Lero researcher Dr. Orla O’Dwyer, of NUI Galway said that that between 40 and 60% of IT programs fail to meet budget, deadlines and expectations and are often underutilised when implemented.

Auxilion, which employs 50 people, was set up in 2012 to address the rapidly growing global cloud computing services market. It provides cloud transformation and 24x7 support services around the globe with physical premises in Dublin, Ireland and Sheffield, UK.
