CONTROVERSIAL TOLKIEN-BASED "MIRKWOOD" SPAWNS CRITICALLY-ACCLAIMED "THE CHRONICLES OF ARA", PRESENTED BY INCORGNITO PUBLISHING PRESS

"The Chronicles of Ara" is a heralded new epic fantasy novel series, written by Joel Eisenberg and Stephen Hillard, published by Incorgnito Publishing's speculative fiction imprint Topos Books.

In these new books, the question is asked: "What are the long-term repercussions if all of creativity and invention was inspired by a corrupted muse?"

Screenwriter-producer Joel Eisenberg ("April Showers"), who eleven years ago discovered a "lost" John Steinbeck archive that led to several auctions, and renowned Texas entrepreneur Steve Hillard, author of the controversial "Mirkwood: A Novel About JRR Tolkien," which had been featured extensively in The New York Times and The Wall Street Journal due to a well-publicized dispute with the Tolkien estate over rights of portrayal, have teamed to pen the eight-volume epic fantasy spinoff, "The Chronicles of Ara."

The new series follows the fictional discovery of a missing book of "Beowulf," authenticated by J.R.R. Tolkien and a team of academics, which sets in motion a series of events that years later will expose the existence of the corrupted muse and her tragic plan for all of humanity.

Considered a companion to Hillard's earlier novel, the "Ara" series will test the same boundaries. "These volumes will explore the global influences of darker fantasists, such as Tolkien, Poe, Lovecraft, Mary Shelley and others, all featured as characters, all authors of rare insight whose works tended to reach their readers on a primal level as they themselves toiled within that realm," says Eisenberg.

Upcoming on the speaking circuit, Eisenberg will bring his motivational seminar, "Catching the Muse: How to Claim Your Artistic Spirit," to Snead State Community College in Boaz, Alabama, on June 15. Tickets to the seminar, hosted by Tyward Books, can be ordered through eventbrite.com.
