Tango Health Selected by Southeast Alabama Medical Center For Affordable Care Act Compliance Services

AUSTIN, Texas--()--Tango Health announced today that they have been chosen by Southeast Alabama Medical Center (SAMC) in Dothan, Alabama to provide software and services to assist in complying with the Affordable Care Act (ACA) in terms of IRS 6055 and 6056 reporting.

As a not for profit community health system dedicated to improving the health and quality of life of the residents of southeast Alabama, southwest Georgia and the Florida Panhandle, SAMC was looking for a fully outsourced solution to meet ACA compliance. With approximately 2,800 employees across multiple locations, the health system was struggling to meet the requirements of compliance for their complex, disparate departments.

“Our in-house systems for payroll and hourly tracking weren’t providing the level of data we needed for health benefits reporting under the Affordable Care Act requirements,” said Tony Welch at SAMC. “We put our trust in Tango because they have the ability to coordinate data on health benefits eligibility, affordability, and more. Using Tango’s software dashboards to make sense of the data, and the concierge service to provide reporting expertise, we will have the ability to manage reporting for our complex environment.”

SAMC joins the ranks of Tango’s other health care clients, and Tango CEO Todd Praisner sees ACA Compliance as a particular issue for these organizations. “With their range of locations, departments and employee types, the HR teams at health care organizations are not equipped to handle the reporting requirements. Tango alleviates the regulatory burden faced by these institutions and helps to ensure compliance for these very complex scenarios.”
