Toshiba America Energy Systems Corporation Names Robert Temple General Counsel and Corporate Secretary

NEW YORK--()--Toshiba America Energy Systems Corporation (TAES) has appointed Robert “Bob” Temple General Counsel and Corporate Secretary, reporting to Ali Azad, TAES President and CEO. Temple will manage the TAES legal team from the company’s Charlotte, NC, headquarters and will serve as a key member of TAES executive leadership. In his position, Temple will provide the company with strategic and tactical advice on a wide range of legal, business, regulatory, governance and compliance matters.

Prior to joining TAES, Temple was Assistant General Counsel for The Babcock & Wilcox Company where he served as the chief legal advisor for Babcock & Wilcox Nuclear Energy, Inc. and Babcock & Wilcox mPower, Inc., as well as the Secretary and General Counsel for Generation mPower, LLC. He joined Babcock & Wilcox in 2011 from the Washington, D.C. office of Haynes and Boone, LLP. During his career, he also worked as an associate and partner in the Chicago and Washington, D.C. offices of the law firms of Winston & Strawn, Hopkins & Sutter and McGuireWoods. In addition, Temple was Deputy General Counsel, Vice President and Secretary at CPS Energy and an in-house attorney with Commonwealth Edison (now Exelon). Prior to becoming an attorney, he was a licensed senior reactor operator at LaSalle County Station; he worked for General Electric and served in the U.S. Navy aboard nuclear submarines. He is currently a licensed member of the bar in Illinois, Texas and Washington D.C.

Bob received his Juris Doctorate degree from Illinois Institute of Technology’s Chicago-Kent College of Law (1995) and he earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Southern Illinois University (1988).
