The Internet & Television Expo 2015

LOS ANGELES--()--VUBIQUITY, the leading global provider of premium content services, will reveal new products and services at INTX 2015 in Chicago as part of a renewed focus announced today by CEO Darcy Antonellis. The company is leveraging the added capabilities that have evolved with consumer technologies to create the next generation of premium content services. Supporting the NCTA’s decision to rebrand “The Cable Show” as “INTX: The Internet & Television Expo” to reflect the rapidly evolving cable industry, VUBIQUITY is announcing a new lineup of advanced technology products and services designed to accelerate the industry’s content monetization efforts.

“At this year’s INTX, we wanted to really highlight all of the content capabilities we have been developing over the past year,” said Darcy Antonellis, CEO of VUBIQUITY. “With new technologies and disruption comes many new challenges, and we have been diligently working to best support our partners and customers with new solutions.”

Located at booth #1635, VUBIQUITY will introduce new capabilities and showcase its slate of new products with demonstrations including:

LIVE LINEAR STREAMING – VUBIQUITY’s LiveVU service powered by VUBIQUITY’s AnyVU™ Cloud platform enables an entirely new set of capabilities for programmers and service providers and their desire for “one-stop solutions.” Service providers can now quickly launch a live linear streaming service that includes content acquisition, content encoding and packaging, CDN delivery and a digital storefront. VUBIQUITY has made the technology investment to enable this transition from legacy systems to IP/Digital delivery of premium content across a multi-screen offering.

BANDWIDTH OPTIMIZATION – VUBIQUITY’s Bandwidth Optimization solution uses reduced bitrate encoding to compress data and make more storage available, thereby enabling service providers to expand their offerings. VUBIQUITY’s Bandwidth Optimization facilitates 38 percent more storage and allows service providers to deliver 62 percent more On Demand assets to their customers, leading to increased revenues. Bandwidth Optimization transcodes high-quality source files into lower bitrate profiles encoded at a rate of 9.25Mbps, while maintaining high-quality standards of Peak Signal to Noise Ratio (PSNR), Visual Quality Metrics (VQM), and Structural Similarity (SSIM).

INCREASED DIGITAL DISTRIBUTION – VUBIQUITY’s existing service provider portfolio consists of 550 distributors across 37 countries in 15 languages. Beginning in the third quarter of 2015, VUBIQUITY will increase this portfolio and distribute content to additional service providers including OTT distributors. This will position VUBIQUITY as the only premium content services company supporting cable, satellite, telecommunications and broadcasting companies and OTT with licensed content.

ELECTRONIC SELL-THROUGH (“EST”) – VUBIQUITY’s end-to-end EST solution enables service providers to launch EST within their existing VOD set-up and includes pre-licensed movies and TV shows for in- and out-of-home viewing on mainstream devices, set-top-box integrations, white-labeled storefront and device apps available for iOS, Android, PC and Mac.
