NEW YORK--()--Prophet, a global brand and marketing consultancy, has created new senior leadership positions to drive the evolution of design and creative services at the firm and enhance its multi-disciplinary approach to client work. Since the inception of the design practice in 2008, Prophet has achieved significant growth in both the size of the practice and the impact it creates in the marketplace for its clients.

Peter Dixon, the firm’s newly appointed Chief Creative Officer, will be responsible for driving the creativity and culture of the firm and supporting the continued development of its multidisciplinary offerings. Andres Nicholls will lead the design practice as Global Executive Creative Director, elevating design strategy and thinking for Prophet clients and internal teams.

“We’ve built what we think is a next-generation consulting firm, and have found that being more intentional about putting creativity at the center of what we do leads to greater impact for our clients,” explained Peter Dixon, the firm’s new Chief Creative Officer. “We continue to be committed to having a business-centric focus to our work and rigorous analytic processes, but we will also elevate the role of creative problem-solving approaches in finding innovative and impactful ideas that can power our clients’ successes.”

Prophet’s design practice is working with some of the most visible brands in the world from its global studios in New York, London, San Francisco and Hong Kong.

“It’s an exciting time as we continue to grow, add new capabilities and improve our ability to work fluidly across our offices to serve our international clients,” said Andres Nicholls, the firm’s new Global Executive Creative Director. “Our ‘global studio’ model is helping us to bring different voices and cultural orientations to our design work.”

Nicholls, who joined Prophet in 2009, takes the reins of the design group as it becomes more focused on delivering cutting edge digital and customer experience transformations. Prophet’s design portfolio includes work for Abbott, The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas, Chanel, Destination Hotels, Electrolux, Keurig, Maserati, Qdoba and Victoria’s Secret.

“We’re making these adjustments to ensure we draw on the entire set of capabilities we’ve built over the past few years to serve our clients in a full service, multi-disciplinary way,” said Michael Dunn, chairman and CEO of Prophet. “These are new roles for us, and we’re excited to have Peter and Andres help set the direction of our approach to creativity and design capabilities as part of our continued growth as a firm.”

Peter Dixon, Chief Creative Officer

As Prophet's Chief Creative Officer, Dixon brings clients a unique blend of perspectives as a designer, architect and consultant. This translates into an imaginative take on branding, design and customer experience, represented in high-level thinking as well as visual, verbal and experiential expression.

Dixon’s award-winning programs have spanned all areas of the brand experience, ranging from visual and digital identities to retail concepts and merchandising systems. He has worked for such notable clients as BMW, Citibank, Delta Airlines, Emart, Fiat Chrysler, IBM, Maserati, McDonald’s, Microsoft, Nissan, Sprint, Samsung, United Airlines and Walmart.

Before joining Prophet, Dixon helped lead the consulting team on Walmart’s new brand strategy, including its new visual identity and store experience concepts. He also was instrumental in designing a new dealership concept for Nissan Motors that is being implemented worldwide, as well as a new design for its Infiniti brand outlets. For McDonald’s, he directed the design of a revitalized restaurant concept that was executed across the U.S.

At Prophet, Dixon led brand concepting and design for The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas, a revitalized format for Brunswick Bowling, and the rollout of a refined design concept for Maserati car dealerships in North America. Globally he has worked with Emart, Korea's largest retailer, to develop a new visual identity and new store concepts, and his team recently completed new logo and visual system design systems for Electrolux and Keurig Green Mountain.

He is currently leading the development and prototyping of a new brand identity and restaurant design for Qdoba, a Mexican eatery with over 600 locations.

Dixon is a popular public speaker and has been tapped as a source by The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, Adweek, Newsweek, Visual Merchandising & Store Design, Convenience Store News and Advertising Age. He is on the advisory board of the School of Architecture at Northeastern University, serves on the editorial board of VM+SD magazine, and is a past national president of the Society for Experiential Graphic Design (SEGD).

Dixon holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Louisiana State University and a Master’s of Architecture degree from the University of Texas at Austin.
