CACI Awarded $34 Million Contract to Provide Analytic Support to Joint Improvised Explosive Device Defeat Organization

Work Will Enhance Situational Understanding of Global Threats

ARLINGTON, Va.--()--CACI International Inc (NYSE:CACI) announced today it was awarded a $34 million contract to provide deployed and on-site analytic support to the Joint Improvised Explosive Device Defeat Organization’s (JIEDDO) J9 Operational Analysis and Assessment Division. The three-year contract, which CACI received in the second quarter of its Fiscal Year 2015 ending December 31, 2014, represents new business in CACI’s Integrated Security Solutions market area.

JIEDDO leads Department of Defense efforts to counter Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) via a three-pronged strategy: attack the network, defeat the device, and train the force. The J9 Division conducts Operations Research and Systems Analysis (ORSA) to defeat IEDs as weapons of strategic influence. CACI will support this mission by providing deployed personnel to conduct ORSA support. CACI will also supply non-deployed ORSA and geospatial analysis support to enhance understanding of IEDs and enable JIEDDO to make analytically derived and informed decisions on how to minimize their impact.

CACI has provided support to JIEDDO since its inception and offers highly experienced and well-vetted personnel, mission expertise, and innovative approaches. With CACI’s overall knowledge of JIEDDO’s unique capabilities, the company provides effective solutions necessary to counter threats and optimize the safety of U.S. forces.

John Mengucci, CACI’s Chief Operating Officer and President of U.S. Operations, said, “CACI has the proven processes and agile, experienced staff in place to help safeguard global operational forces and ensure mission success for our valued customers in the Intelligence Community.”

According to CACI President and Chief Executive Officer Ken Asbury, “Assisting our military in protecting the U.S. Armed Forces from ubiquitous threats such as IEDs has always been one of CACI’s highest priorities. This contract with the Joint Improvised Explosive Device Defeat Organization, a longtime customer of ours, enables us to continue that critical support while expanding our business in our Integrated Security Solutions market area.”
