AUSTIN, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Austin’s skyline will gain a commanding new addition with a 58-story condo tower. Set to rise 685 feet, its height means it will soar into record books as the tallest structure in Austin, and the tallest residential building west of the Mississippi River.
Constructive Ventures and Aspen Heights are developing the 950,000-square-foot project as a joint venture. The project’s name, The Independent, and innovative design embody the bold, energetic and entrepreneurial spirit that bolsters Austin’s economy, reputation and success.

Located at the northeast corner of West 3rd Street and West Avenue, The Independent offers incredible views of Lady Bird Lake as well as immediate access to downtown’s trail network, new library and myriad of dining and shopping options.
The Independent will feature 370 condo residences, providing a wide array of size and price points. Units will range from 675 to 3,485 square feet, with floorplans featuring one to three bedrooms. Units will range in price from the mid-$300,000s to over $3 million.
