Emma Announces Acquisition of Marketing Solution Provider, Boomerang

Email marketing leader increases customer base as it continues to expand product offerings, grow staff and host first marketing event

NASHVILLE, Tenn.--()--Emma, a provider of best-in-class email marketing software and services, today announced its acquisition of digital marketing solution provider Boomerang. Boomerang’s customers will now have access to Emma’s platform, including the company’s deep Salesforce.com integration. The acquisition is part of a growth-focused year for Emma, as the company has seen 50 percent employee growth in the past year, expanded internationally, enhanced its automation product and will host its first national marketing conference.

“We’re thrilled to welcome the Boomerang user community into the Emma fold,” said Clint Smith, CEO and co-founder of Emma. “They’re a smart group of savvy marketers, and we’re excited to help them make a seamless transition to the Emma platform.”

“A large percentage of our customers rely heavily on our integration with Salesforce.com, so Emma and its integration set was the obvious choice for our users,” said Dave Kearney, CEO of Boomerang. “Because of the company’s technology, product experience and customer service, we knew our customers would be taken care of at Emma.”

Major product releases in automation, mobile and data visualization have made it a busy six months for Emma. The 10-year-old software company now boasts 150 employees across four U.S. cities, and recently opened its first international office in Melbourne, Australia. Later this month, Emma will also host its first three-day conference for marketers, Marketing United, bringing industry leaders such as Warby Parker, Life is good, Big Machine Label Group, Moz and Eventbrite to downtown Nashville.

“We’re riding an exciting wave of momentum right now by combining our best, most complete product experience ever with a world-class, in-person experience at Marketing United,” said Grey Garner, vice president of marketing at Emma. “Ultimately, we simply built the event that we’ve always wanted to attend. Smart, inspiring speakers, a beautiful venue, a great city and an attendee list that genuinely feels like we’re hanging out with 500 of our closest friends. We can’t wait.”
