DreamBox Learning® Delivering One Million Math Lessons Daily

Company Sees Strong Growth of Learning Technology in All 50 States and Canada

BELLEVUE, Wash.--()--DreamBox Learning (www.dreambox.com) announced an important milestone for the company’s adaptive math curriculum today, highlighting the daily delivery of one million DreamBox Learning lessons and the projected delivery of 150 million math lessons to students grades K-8 in all 50 states, the District of Columbia and Canada during the 2014-15 school year. Furthermore, the number of students using DreamBox Learning Math has consistently doubled each year for the past four years. This growing momentum is a clear indication that students of all backgrounds and ability are taking an active role in their learning journey, mastering math concepts through a personalized experience that adapts dynamically, in real-time, to meet them where they are.

Districts and schools of all sizes continue to recognize the value of DreamBox Learning’s Intelligent Adaptive Learning technology and pedagogy that personalizes instruction, while building conceptual understanding, competency, and confidence in math. Since entering the schools market in 2011, DreamBox Learning has continued to evolve and expand its solution to best meet the needs of students and teachers alike. In 2014, DreamBox Learning added middle school lessons as well as culturally appropriate Spanish-language content to support English Language Learners on laptops, desktops and iPads. Additionally, to further support teachers, the company has continued to enhance its teacher training programs, including on-demand professional development.

“DreamBox Learning develops students’ mathematical concepts and understanding by supporting their individual instructional needs and automatically adapting and adjusting to the math level in which they are independently working,” said Dr. Christine Johns, Superintendent of Utica Community Schools. “Utica Community Schools implemented personalized, blending learning in all of its K-6 elementary classrooms and have seen a marked increase in mathematical comprehension. Because DreamBox Learning is motivational and available anytime, anywhere, it allows our students to continue advancing their mathematical knowledge and problem skills at their own pace.”

DreamBox Learning drives results in the classroom and improved learning outcomes by supporting both teachers and students through its rigorous, engaging, and individualized mathematics instruction. By partnering with DreamBox Learning, teachers have the ability to instantaneously review individual student progress, as well as classroom and school-wide achievements, meaning that teachers and school administrators alike can pinpoint the exact needs of their students and schools.

“Access and equity in educational opportunity is crucial for unlocking potential within all students, and one way we can achieve this is through the use of promising learning technologies like DreamBox. We seek to partner with educators to build students’ competence while cultivating a life-long confidence in mathematics,” said Jessie Woolley-Wilson, president and CEO of DreamBox Learning. “Our instructional design motivates students to enjoy learning so much that engaging in rigorous math becomes a reward rather than a chore. The overwhelmingly positive feedback we have received from learning guardians who use DreamBox is a testament to the persistence and progress students make each day on their learning path.”

As part of the company’s focus around driving student achievement through the appropriate and responsible use of academic data, the company was also one of the 14 inaugurate education technology leaders to pledge commitment to the Student Privacy Pledge.
