Schoology Named Finalist in Higher Ed and K-12 Education Technology in CODiE Awards

Top Overall Education Solution in 2014 Again Recognized in Two Categories for 2015: Postsecondary and K-12 Learning Management System

NEW YORK--()--Schoology has again been recognized by the Software Information and Industry Association (SIIA) in the 2015 CODiE Awards as a finalist in both Best K-12 Course or Learning Management Solution and Best Postsecondary Learning Management Solution categories. Schoology enhances an institution’s ability to power collaboration, communication and resource sharing. Educators can build media-rich learning communities within Schoology where students share, collaborate and learn together in class and beyond the classroom walls—even from a smartphone.

“We are honored to again be selected by educators and education technology leaders as finalist in both LMS categories of the 2015 CODiEs,” said Jeremy Friedman, CEO of Schoology. “We welcome the recognition from the education software industry and our peers as we work to develop a platform that students and educators love to use.”

The CODiE is considered to be the industry’s premier award distinguishing the leading products in K-12 and higher education. “This year’s finalists are breaking ground with new business models and innovative products. We are pleased to recognize the best in educational technology with these 157 products,” said Karen Billings, vice president of the SIIA Education Technology Industry Network. “I look forward to honoring them all in May at the Education Industry Summit.”

In addition to industry recognition, Schoology has been selected by thousands of institutions worldwide as their learning management system of choice, including the country of Uruguay’s Plan Ceibal, Colorado State University—Global Campus and most recently, the State of Delaware.

SIIA members are invited to cast their ballots now for Schoology and other CODiE award finalists. Voting extends through Friday, April 10.
