LONG BEACH, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Windes, a leading California accounting and advisory firm, today announced the appointment of Michael Barloewen, as partner in its Audit & Assurance Services Practice. He is based out of Windes’ Orange County office located in Irvine.
Barloewen joins Windes with more than 15 years of professional experience in accounting and auditing. He comes to Windes from a California regional accounting firm, where he was a director and led audits of entrepreneur-owned and investor-backed private companies, nonprofit organizations, and public companies.

Barloewen’s experience spans a wide range of industry experience, which includes the commercial real estate, oil and gas, media and entertainment, manufacturing and distribution, software development, and nonprofit sectors. His extensive nonprofit experience includes museums, educational institutions, social service organizations, foundations, health care clinics, associations, relief organizations and housing and urban development groups. Barloewen has also been an active presenter on topics in the nonprofit sector.

Barloewen has a bachelor of arts in economics from the University of California, Santa Barbara with an emphasis in accounting.
