Creator of Elixir, José Valim to be the Keynote Speaker at Vixlet’s Elixir Meetup

LOS ANGELES--()--Vixlet is excited to host Elixir creator José Valim to its Elixir Meetup today in Downtown Los Angeles. Created in 2012, Elixir is a fast growing functional programming language. Valim is originally from Brazil and an active member of the Open Source Community. He is the co-founder of Plataformatec, a software consultancy company dedicated to building custom software using Elixir and Ruby.

Valim will talk about Phoenix, a highly connected web framework used for building scalable web applications with real-time connectivity across all devices. Phoenix relies on the Elixir language for making the development of maintainable applications productive and fun.

Developers of all types interested in working with Elixir and other functional languages will network and hack together while Valim will present his insight and expertise as the keynote speaker.
