ZWANENBURG, The Netherlands--(BUSINESS WIRE)--AEG Power Solutions, a global provider of power electronic systems and solutions for industrial power supplies and renewable energy applications, today announced that it has been selected by BOGESTRA, one of the biggest mobility providers in Germany, to provide Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) systems for its U35 light railway.
For more than 25 years, AEG PS has been supplying robust and high quality power supply solutions to its customer BOGESTRA (Bochum-Gelsenkirchener Streetcar AG). Overall, 24 power supply systems were renewed in the last three years at more than 20 locations (stations & depots) including distribution and services.
The latest order for the installation of four more UPS systems was also successfully implemented. They protect the electrical power supply at the stations themselves, the control rooms, and the tunnel lighting.
BOGESTRA selected AEG PS Protect 8.31 systems to replace its previous UPS due to their robustness, reliability and long lifetime. Other factors in the decision were AEG PS’ excellent service and the long product life cycle of Protect 8.31.
