BRENTWOOD, Tenn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Healthcare veteran Stephanie Tortorici joined healthcare communications and public affairs firm Jarrard Phillips Cate & Hancock, Inc. as managing director for the Chicago office, the company announced today.
Tortorici, a former executive vice president with Edelman, was most recently director of health in Chicago for Edelman's Zeno Group after serving as EVP in the health practice at Edelman PR. In these roles she drove strategic communications for hospitals and health systems, multi-national pharmaceutical companies, professional and patient advocacy associations, and health insurance firms.

Prior to Edelman, Tortorici was system vice president of communications at Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare, a 15-hospital, multi-state system, where she managed communications for system consolidation efforts and rebranding. She also served in a number of leadership roles at Advocate Health Care, a multi-hospital system in Chicago, supporting communications around three mergers and the opening of the system's first – and hotly debated – health and wellness center.
