Health Care Providers Report Ease of Use and Preference for the PharmaJet Needle-Free Injector

PharmaJet releases data from health care provider surveys revealing preference

GOLDEN, Colo.--()--PharmaJet, the maker of innovative needle-free technology, today announced survey data revealing that health care providers (HCPs) would recommend the needle-free injector to colleagues and believed that the use of such a device had the capacity to increase vaccination compliance.

Influenza vaccinations were given by health care providers as part of their annual immunization campaign by several retailers, a university, a public health organization and a government research organization. These pharmacists and other health care providers were given a short survey following flu shot administration using the PharmaJet Needle-Free Injector. The results are as follows:

  • 87% prefer PharmaJet and would like it at their facility next year.
  • 96% were satisfied with the ease of use.
  • 82% would recommend it to their colleagues.
  • Nearly half said needle-free will increase flu vaccination rates by 10% or more at their facility next year.

“Retail pharmacies are evolving into medical clinics, offering health care consultation and convenient vaccination options,” said Ron Lowy, Chairman and CEO of PharmaJet, Inc. “The PharmaJet Needle-Free Injector offers increased safety for health care workers because there is no needle and therefore no chance of needlestick injuries and no risk of cross-contamination from needle reuse. Furthermore, the PharmaJet Needle-Free Injector provides an alternative for pharmacists and other caregivers who are needle phobic or simply prefer not to work with needles when another option is available.”

Full survey results are available here.
