GARDEN GROVE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Southland Industries, one of the nation's largest MEP building systems experts providing engineering, construction, service and energy solutions, recently welcomed Richard Holzer as the managing principal engineer of the company’s Southern California Division.

Mr. Holzer will provide leadership for the division’s design engineering, building information modeling (BIM) and constructability departments, as well as offer strategic guidance for Southland’s growing engineering services at both a regional and national level. He brings over 25 years of experience to his new position, including several years managing large-scale, complex mechanical engineering design projects for healthcare, educational and other institutional and commercial entities.

Mr. Holzer holds a Bachelor of Science degree in environmental engineering with a concentration in HVAC from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. He also has earned certifications in LEED AP Building Design + Construction and ASHRAE High-Performance Building Design.
