NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--ActiveHealth Management (ActiveHealth®) announced today that its case management program received three-year Case Management Accreditation from the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA). Earning NCQA’s Case Management Accreditation is an indication that a case management program is dedicated to care coordination, patient-centeredness and supporting improved quality of care: helping patients get the right care.
“Case Management Accreditation moves us closer to measuring quality across population health management initiatives,” said Margaret E. O’Kane, president, NCQA. “Not only does it add value to existing quality improvement efforts; it also demonstrates an organization’s commitment to the highest degree of improving the quality of their patients’ care.”
“ActiveHealth is deeply committed to making a positive impact on the health and care of our members, especially those with complex needs,” said Richard Noffsinger, CEO and president of ActiveHealth. “We hold our case management program to the highest quality standards to deliver the best possible experience for those individuals, and we are thrilled that the NCQA has recognized that commitment to quality with this accreditation.”
NCQA Accreditation standards are developed with input from researchers in the field, the Case Management Expert Panel and standing committees, employers, both purchasers and operators of case management programs, state and federal regulators and other experts.
