SUNNYVALE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Labcyte Inc., the company revolutionizing life science research with the Echo® liquid handler, today announced the appointment of Chris Grimley as Vice President of Marketing. Mr. Grimley will be responsible for leading the global marketing and product management teams, driving demand for products and services, and growing sales of the Echo liquid handler in emerging application areas such as in synthetic biology, next generation sequencing and personalized medicine.
Mr. Grimley joins Labcyte with over 20 years of experience in the life science industry and was most recently Vice President of Marketing at NanoString Technologies, Inc. Previously he served as Senior Director of Marketing at Agilent Technologies, where he headed marketing for the company’s genomics portfolio. Mr. Grimley began his career in the life science business at Applied Biosystems (now part of Thermo Fisher Scientific) where from 1994 to 2008 he held positions of increasing responsibility including Director of Marketing for the company’s real-time PCR instrument portfolio. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry from San Francisco State University.
