Weaver Vale Housing Trust Welcomes Chair Designate to the Team

CHESHIRE, England--()--Weaver Vale Housing Trust is delighted to welcome a new Chair Designate to the Board, who will be bringing individual skills and strengths to continue the strong governance culture at the Trust.

Alan Ball has had a successful career in senior management over the past 30 years and is recognised for his leadership style and team development. With degrees in Law, Psychology and an MBA, he has worked and lived in the USA, China, Dubai and the UK.

Alan brings significant industry expertise having worked for a number of Blue Chip businesses as MD including GE, FKI, Wolseley and The BSS Group and latterly CEO and has run operations with over 1200 employees and sales of £750m. He has always devoted time to non-executive work to develop Boards and add value through his business experience. Past appointments have included the London College of Law, Rosebury Housing and the BOSS Federation where he was Chairman.

Commenting on his appointment, Alan said, “James Boyd (current Chairman) and the Board have had an immense impact on the Trust in developing its strong position and supporting Steve Jennings, Chief Executive and the Executive. I am delighted and proud to be joining an organisation whose values mirror my own and I am looking forward to ensuring that momentum is maintained and that Weaver Vale delivers on its 2020 Vision and beyond.”

Steve Jennings said, “We are delighted to welcome Alan to the Board and look forward to working with him as we continue our journey for delivery of our 2020 Vision. Alan will offer a different perspective while still recognising the Trusts vision of ‘Transforming neighbourhoods, homes and services to improve the quality of life for our customers’ and embracing the existing core values of the Trust.”

1. Weaver Vale Housing Trust was formed in July 2002 following a transfer of Vale Royal Borough Council housing stock and is the only local landlord wholly based in West Cheshire. Providing over 6,000 homes in Northwich, Winsford, Frodsham, Helsby and outlying rural areas. We provide a range of affordable accommodation for all ages, from flats and retirement apartments to two/three/four bed houses.

2. We have developed a variety of services to support people in their day to day life, helping them live independently in their own homes. Our fundamental aim is to help our customers improve the quality of their lives.
