CHICAGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--BDO USA, LLP, one of the nation’s leading accounting and consulting firms, has announced that Katie Ferris and Stephen Maniaci in the firm's Grand Rapids, MI office and Jennifer Core of the firm's Woodbridge, NJ office have each been admitted to the firm partnership. Ms. Ferris and Mr. Maniaci are tax partners and Ms. Core is an assurance partner.

Jennifer L. Core, has more than 15 years of experience working with public and private clients with both domestic and foreign operations. She provides financial statement and internal control auditing services to businesses in the technology, distribution, manufacturing, construction, retail and various other industries. In addition to her client responsibilities, Jennifer serves as a regional champion for BDO's Women's Initiative and as her office's representative for BDO's community volunteerism program. Ms. Core, who received both her Bachelor and Masters in Accounting from Farleigh Dickinson University, is an active member of the American Institute of CPAs (AICPA), the New Jersey State Society of CPAs, the New Jersey Technology Council and the Association for Corporate Growth (Co-Chair of the Women Leadership Committee).
Katie L. Ferris has more than 10 years of experience servicing clients in multiple industries, including manufacturing, distribution, technology, telecommunications, construction and various others. Her primary focus has been on providing tax planning and compliance services to closely held businesses and their owners. Katie has significant experience with organizational structuring and planning with the goal of enhancing tax efficiencies. She also assists clients with estate planning, accounting methods, mergers and acquisitions and IRS tax examination services. In addition to her duties with BDO, Katie serves on the board, as Treasurer, of the Literacy Center of West Michigan and is involved in various other professional and community organizations in Western Michigan. A member of the AICPA, the Michigan Association of CPAs and the Michigan Women’s Tax Association, Ms. Ferris received both her B.B.A. and M.S.A in Accounting from Grand Valley State University.
Stephen Maniaci has over 14 years of experience serving both public and private clients in all areas of taxation, including accounting for income taxes, international, state and local, compensation and benefits, mergers and acquisitions and internal controls. As the tax practice leader for the Michigan Financial Institutions and Insurance practice, he oversees tax accounting, consulting and compliance functions for the firm's banking and insurance clients. Steve received his Bachelors in Accounting from Western Michigan University and his MBA from Wayne State University. He is an active member of the AICPA and also serves as a certified USA boxing coach and youth mentor.
