Nuveen Asset Management Hires Evan Inglis

  • Inglis Joins Institutional Solutions Group as Senior Actuary

CHICAGO--()--Nuveen Investments, a leading global provider of investment services to institutions as well as individual investors, is pleased to announce that its Nuveen Asset Management affiliate has hired R. Evan Inglis to serve as Senior Actuary within its Institutional Solutions Group. Reporting to David Wilson, Head of the Institutional Solutions Group, Inglis will serve as a valuable resource to clients and provide deep technical expertise to further develop the team’s proprietary pension analytical & risk models. The broader team is charged with crafting and delivering customized investment strategies to defined benefit pension plans, public funds, foundations and endowments, insurance companies and other institutional investors. They draw upon Nuveen Asset Management’s robust array of high-quality investment offerings from traditional and specialized equities to fixed income securities and real assets.

Inglis comes to Nuveen Asset Management most recently from the Terry Group, where he served as a Principal with the firm. Prior to the Terry Group, Inglis worked at Vanguard as its chief actuary, advising pension clients on liability-driven investment strategies. Before joining Vanguard, he spent 25 years with Watson Wyatt in a variety of consulting, risk management and actuarial roles. Recognized as a thought leader in the institutional space, Inglis has published key papers on cash balance plans and pension plan terminations and speaks regularly on a wide variety of pension and risk management topics. He is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries holds the designation of Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA).
