LAS VEGAS--()--CES 2015, LVCC Central Hall Booth #11028--Toshiba’s Digital Products Division (DPD), a division of Toshiba America Information Systems, Inc., today announced the latest addition to its award-winning line of universal docking stations, the dynadock® 4K. Using a single cable, the dynadock 4K connects any laptop to a desktop workspace and expands its overall capabilities with multiple monitor support, up to 4K2K resolution1 and added port connectivity. Generally compatible with both PC and Mac®, the dynadock 4K provides users with faster speed and improved UltraHD 4K graphics for an enhanced desktop experience.

“Laptops are continuing to get smaller in size, enabling greater mobility but limiting the number of ports needed for a productive desktop environment,” said Paul DeSimone, product marketing manager, Toshiba America Information Systems, Inc., Digital Products Division. “This versatile product uses the latest technology to connect all of your devices, offering increased productivity for business users and a richer entertainment experience with HD to UltraHD 4K resolution for consumers.”

With one simple USB cable, users are able to connect to multiple monitors through the dynadock 4K’s HDMI®, DisplayPort™ or VGA ports, which support video, 5.1 channel audio and Gigabit LAN for fast Internet speeds. The dynadock 4K offers six USB 3.0 ports2, allowing users to connect to a multitude of additional devices, such as an external hard drive, optical drive, printer, full-size keyboard and mouse.

Additionally, the two USB 3.0 ports in the front of the device are equipped with Toshiba’s USB Sleep & Charge technology3, which output more power than standard USB ports (1500 mA versus 900 mA) and enable devices to charge faster. These two ports also support the charging of most USB-powered devices, such as a smartphones, tablets, cameras and MP3 players, when the laptop is turned off or disconnected.

The unit’s USB 3.0 connection and built-in UltraHD 4K graphics cards support up to 3840 x 2160 resolution, delivering 4K content and creating an optimal high-resolution workspace that increases user experience and office productivity. Depending on the user’s preference and workspace size, the small and sleek dynadock 4K can be used in a horizontal or vertical position with the included stand. When the laptop is turned off or disconnected, the dynadock 4K can be powered down to save energy.
