CLIFTON, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Vericred, Inc., a healthcare startup bringing accuracy, efficiency and transparency to provider data, today launched PlanCompass.com, a website that helps consumers choose a health plan that lets them keep the doctors they prefer.
It is harder than ever for consumers to find health plans in which all of their preferred doctors and facilities participate ‘in-network.’ This year, thirty percent more health plans are available, and more plans are offering narrower networks of physicians and hospitals. Finding the right plan is a needle-in-the-haystack operation that requires searching different insurance company websites, one doctor at a time. It's a chore that can take hours.
In response, Vericred developed PlanCompass.com, a provider-centric health plan search website.

PlanCompass is live now to help individuals and families in New Jersey search for health plans available under the Affordable Care Act. The website will be expanded to other states in the Northeast over the next month, and nationally next year.
Powering PlanCompass is Vericred’s National Provider Directory, which will ultimately link millions of doctors, health care facilities and other health care providers with the health plans in which they participate. The Vericred National Provider Directory will be available through an Application Programming Interface (API) so that others can leverage this centralized resource.
How PlanCompass Works
Consumers enter their zip code, ages of family members, and their trusted healthcare providers. PlanCompass searches plans available in their area to find those that match their preferred doctors and facilities. Consumers can then easily compare costs, coverage and benefits to pick the right plan and enroll.
