Kingdom Games Announces Acquisition of 4Soils’ Assets

AUSTIN, Texas--()--Kingdom Games announced today it has closed its acquisition of the assets of 4Soils, a Stanford-based Children’s Bible app producer. 4Soils has a large following and is well-known for its Biblically-centered digital experiences for children, three to five years of age. With this acquisition, Kingdom Games strengthens its mission to provide ethical and moral games to upcoming generations of all ages.

“We are thrilled to have 4Soils join the Kingdom Games family,” said James Parkman, Studio Head of Kingdom Games. “With our newest line of 4Soils games, parents can instill faith-based learning in an engaging environment that is trustworthy and convenient on mobile devices. The collaboration will continue our efforts to provide quality games to children of all ages in an approachable way that is also entertaining.”

Kingdom Games utilizes the power of gaming to help parents instill in their children moral values and beliefs. 4Soils was created under the same paradigm and shares the wisdom of Bible stories through immersive gaming technology for kids on the iPhone and iPad. 4Soils’ most popular game, Sproutville, is a Bible app built just for children and offers Bible stories, Bible songs, puzzles, coloring and other engaging games for the user. Other 4Soils games include bedtime story apps and sing-a-longs.

Founded in July 2013 by two people with a mission to change the world with the power of games, Studio Head James Parkman and Board Director Phil Smith have helped Kingdom Games remain at the forefront of thoughtful gaming technology. Parkman has worked in the Video Game Development field since 1998, and in his 14 years in the industry has served a variety of Lead Design and Project Management roles for many large game companies, including Atari, NCSoft, Vigil Games, as well as numerous startups and smaller ventures.

The company now has 20 employees and five full-time consultants in the gaming development incubator, Austin, Texas and continues to grow. Since its founding, the company has begun work on different types of games, including a single-player, role-playing game (RPG) for desktop PC, which has not yet been released and a Bible quiz game named Qible (Quiz of the Bible) made for mobile devices, which was just released November 2014.
