LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Colorado River Water Users Association:
WHAT:
Cooperation among basin states and the federal
government and a new era of leadership to address the challenges posed
by an ongoing drought are some of the topics that will be discussed at
the 2014 Colorado River Water Users Association’s (CRWUA) conference,
“Challenged but Unbroken: Sustaining the Colorado River."
The event’s schedule includes panel discussions on water policy, ensuring water supply sustainability, water demand management and environmental stewardship. In addition, the conference will feature a keynote address by David Modeer, CRWUA President and General Manager, Central Arizona Project; a discussion on a to-be-released multi-year Weather Modification Study.

- Thursday, Dec. 11 at 9 a.m. in Palace III: Keynote address by David Modeer
- Friday, Dec. 12 at 9 a.m. in Palace III: Special address by Deputy Secretary of the Interior Michael L. Connor. At 10:00 a.m., Commissioner Edward Drusina and Commissioner Roberto Salmon from the International Boundary and Water Commission will be offering information on the release of the Initial Report on the Environmental Pulse Flows under Minute 319.
