GEICO's Houston area claims operation to fill more than 300 new jobs in 2015

HOUSTON--()--They say everything is bigger in Texas. For GEICO, growth and hiring needs in the company's claims operation in Katy, Texas, are as big as Big Tex himself. GEICO is expanding its hiring efforts in 2015 in order to fill more than 300 net new positions.

GEICO's claims operation in Katy, which is already home to more than 500 associates since it opened in early 2014, continues to recruit entry-level claims representatives, degreed candidates for liability claims representatives and college graduates for GEICO's fast-track management development program with a focus on claims operations.

GEICO is also looking to add to its ranks of dedicated auto damage adjusters in the Houston area. Candidates that want to be ambassadors of customer service with a strong desire to help customers after an accident and that have excellent time management skills should apply immediately through the GEICO auto damage careers page.

"We've already grown to more than 500 associates here in Katy, but we're still in need of more wonderful associates at all levels," said Tara Carthew, branch manager of the Katy office.

Sean Coleman, a claims service representative coach who moved to the Houston area from GEICO's Macon office, cited the positive environment and ability to move up the ladder as some of the qualities that make GEICO's Katy office a top workplace. "The atmosphere in the Katy office is amazing — it was what drew me in and made me want to be a part of growing this new office and helping to set a positive company culture," Coleman said. "The advancement opportunities are also terrific; with hard work I have already been promoted within six months of coming to the office. And outside of work, the Katy area and Houston is a great place to live."

GEICO offers competitive starting salaries, a comprehensive benefits package, continuing education, career growth opportunities, community engagement opportunities and a friendly, supportive workplace. For job listings and to submit an application, visit the GEICO Houston careers.
