Modernizing Medicine Debuts EMA Rheumatology at the American College of Rheumatology Annual Meeting 2014

Company Unveils Specialty-Specific, Touch-Based EMR System for Rheumatologists

BOCA RATON, Fla.--()--Modernizing Medicine, Inc., the creator of the Electronic Medical Assistant® (EMA™), a cloud-based, specialty-specific electronic medical record (EMR) system, will be debuting its EMA Rheumatology™ system at this year’s American College of Rheumatology (ACR) Annual Meeting in Boston, Mass.

EMA Rheumatology is the first of its kind for the rheumatology field and was developed by rheumatologists. Similar to Modernizing Medicine’s other offerings, EMA Rheumatology is available as a native iPad application and can be accessed via the Internet virtually anywhere at any time. The technology contains built-in, specialty-specific medical knowledge and automated ICD-10 and PQRS capabilities, in addition to legacy features like EMA’s Virtual Exam Room™, which helps to eliminate redundancies and automate communications.

“Rheumatology is an incredibly detailed field with a unique knowledge base and workflow that distinguishes its physicians from internal medicine practitioners,” said Dr. Elana Oberstein, medical director of EMA Rheumatology at Modernizing Medicine. “We are thrilled to finally provide rheumatologists with an EMR system that is just as specialized as the field itself.”

Dr. Oberstein will be at booth #726 to demo the system and showcase its features to attendees.

ACR 2014 is taking place at the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center from Friday, November 14 through Wednesday, November 19, 2014. For more information about ACR 2014, please visit the American College of Rheumatology online here.
