MINNEAPOLIS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--VitalHealth Software, a leading global provider of web-based solutions for collaborative health management established by Mayo Clinic and the Noaber Foundation, today announced that it has received certification from the International Consortium for Health Outcomes Measurement (ICHOM) for its QuestLinkTM software for patient-reported outcomes. VitalHealth Software is among only six vendors in the world to become an ICHOM Certified Supplier.
VitalHealth worked closely with ICHOM to verify that QuestLink supports the ICHOM Standard Sets for a range of prioritized clinical conditions in which patient-reported outcome measures contribute to identifying and disseminating best care practices worldwide. Several of these Standard Sets will be featured at the ICHOM annual conference, being held today at Harvard Business School. During the conference, VitalHealth’s chief medical officer, Dr. Les Wold, will discuss the importance of PROs in giving a voice to patients in their care and treatment process.
“VitalHealth is very pleased to have been awarded ICHOM certification,” said Blair Butterfield, VitalHealth’s president for North America. “Patient-reported outcomes is a trend that promises much benefit in health care transformation, and ICHOM has made significant contributions to ensuring a validated, standardized, and repeatable approach to evaluating outcomes. Our company was founded on principles of collaborative health management for social impact; we believe that the facilitation of electronic patient reported outcomes is essential to the enablement of truly patient-centered care. We look forward to working collaboratively with ICHOM as outcomes-based approaches become integrated into the care coordination and delivery mechanisms of global healthcare systems.”
“VitalHealth’s QuestLinkTM software is exactly the type of technology that is needed to achieve widespread adoption of patient-reported outcomes measurement and drive value-based health care globally,” said Jean Stoefs, ICHOM’s Vice President of Implementation. “It’s a powerful, flexible, platform that can be seamlessly integrated into routine clinical practice to provide valuable insights that benefit patients and providers alike. We are excited to add VitalHealth to our group of certified IT vendors that support ICHOM standard Sets within their platforms, and we look forward to working closely with them.”
About ICHOM
The International Consortium for Health Outcomes
Measurement (ICHOM) is an independent non-profit organization dedicated
to unlocking the power of value-based health care. At ICHOM, we believe
that outcomes are the true measure of quality in health care, and that
only by measuring the outcomes that matter most to patients can we
improve value for patients. In pursuit of this goal, we define Standard
Sets (minimum data sets) of health outcomes and associated risk factors
for specific medical conditions, support the adoption of outcomes
measurement in routine practice, facilitate improvement through global
learning communities, and engage stakeholders to promote transparency
and reporting of performance. For more information, please visit www.ichom.org.
