HONG KONG--(BUSINESS WIRE)--A.M. Best is pleased to announce that David Teo has joined the team at A.M. Best Asia-Pacific (Singapore) Pte Ltd. as Director, Market Development – South East Asia. He will be responsible for market development activities in South East Asia, Australia and New Zealand.
David is a resident of Singapore and has been working in the insurance industry for the past seven years. Prior to joining A.M. Best, David worked for Aon Benfield Asia, advising clients in Asia on various rating agency issues. He has assisted clients with implementing Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) frameworks, which have increasing importance for the industry worldwide.
David began his career in accounting in external and internal auditing. The experience in external auditing provided him with valuable insights into the operations of life and non-life insurance clients. He has also worked in a major Japanese insurance company where he was in charge of the full scope of the internal audit work, making recommendations to improve efficiency and operations.
David obtained his accounting qualifications from The Association of Chartered Certified Accountants and is now a Chartered Accountant of Singapore.
