U.S. Bank FlexPerks Adds American Express-Branded Cards to Award Winning Credit Card Lineup

MINNEAPOLIS--()--With three new U.S. Bank FlexPerks® Rewards credit cards now accepted on the American Express® network, U.S. Bank offers customers even more ways to earn FlexPoints for travel-related rewards, merchandise, gift cards and more.

“Adding American Express to the family of FlexPerks Rewards credit cards is part of our FlexPerks legacy of finding new and better ways to help customers earn rewards faster with value they can recognize,” said Cliff Cook, senior vice president for U.S. Bank’s retail credit card division. “U.S. Bank and American Express are a winning combination for our customers, who can quickly earn rewards with accelerated earn categories and enjoy the many benefits and privileges associated with the American Express brand.”

The FlexPerks Rewards family of products offers exceptional value to customers with just 20,000 FlexPoints equaling an airline ticket worth up to $400. FlexPoints also can be combined across products so cardholders can make the most of their card rewards. The three new U.S. Bank FlexPerks cards are:

  • U.S. Bank FlexPerks Reserve American Express Card – offers premium rewards available exclusively to clients of the Private Client Reserve of U.S. Bank.
  • U.S. Bank FlexPerks Travel Rewards American Express Card – includes double FlexPoints on restaurant spend and other benefits, including no foreign-transaction fees.
  • U.S. Bank FlexPerks Select+ American Express Card – earn one FlexPoint per dollar with no annual fee.

All FlexPerks Travel Rewards cards and the FlexPerks Select+ Card come with EMV chip technology, which provides cardmembers increased security and convenience.

U.S. Bank and American Express announced their partnership last November. To apply for a FlexPerks credit card, visit any U.S. Bank branch or learn more at flexperks.com.
