TOKYO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Passlogy, which develops and sells security software, released a new type of password generator and management app "PassClip" iOS version in App Store in October 24, 2014.
The safety of passwords is based on two big principles. A series of
random letters which is hard to guess. Ones which are not reused.
However, many users do not satisfy those factors, and unauthorized
access and hijacking user accounts happen frequently. (*1)
Additionally,
other password management tools require a master password in order to
check passwords. That kind of extra trouble makes users avoid using
tools.
PassClip has the distinctive display system which generates
random letters for passwords, allows only two taps to see passwords, and
provides a safe environment for users.
(*1) About safe passwords,
see following: http://www.passclip.com/safetypassword
[3 features of PassClip]
1. Only two taps to see passwords.
With
the world’s first display system, PassClip accomplished accessibility
which allows to see passwords with only two taps, and safety which
prevents from leaking passwords. Moreover, the master passwords required
by ordinary password management tools will not be necessary when you
start the app.
2. The world’s first display system only you can read the password.
(Patent pending.)
In the password display screen, there will be 50
random letters (5x5, 25 spots, 2 letters per spot). The "password" will
be letters of 4 spots according to the pattern which is the order you
decide in advance.
3. Kana mode makes it easier.
You can choose "Kana" for letters in
spots. If you know Japanese, Kana may be easier to remember and give you
faster password access. (This feature is for Japanese.)

[The comment from Passlogy CEO Hideharu Ogawa]
Lately we often read
the news saying "the password authentication has limit." Many people in
the world say that, but is it true? The problem is not the password
itself. There is no safe and easy-to-manage tool that has random and
different passwords for every website.
