Donald Corbett to lead Grant Thornton’s West region Tax Services

SAN JOSE, Calif.--()--Grant Thornton LLP named Donald Corbett, 51, West region Tax Services leader, based in the firm’s San Jose, Calif., office.

In this role, Corbett will continue to serve as the Tax practice leader for the firm’s Greater Bay Area practice. Previously, he served as the Pacific Northwest Tax practice leader for the past 10 years, where he was involved in the review and implementation of tax accounting planning for companies in Seattle and in Portland, Ore. He has more than 25 years of experience providing corporate, S corporation, partnership, and personal tax planning and compliance services to a wide variety of clients, including public and privately owned businesses and closely held businesses.

A certified public accountant in California, Utah, Idaho, Oregon and Washington, Corbett is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the California Society of Certified Public Accountants.

He received a bachelor’s degree in accounting and a master’s degree in tax from Brigham Young University.
