Two Bit Circus Announces Reimagined VIP Gala as the Kick-off Event to STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, Math) Week

STEAM Week Kicks Off with Fundraising Gala Raising Funds for STEAM Learning

LOS ANGELES--()--Two Bit Circus, an engineering entertainment company that is reimagining the world of play, kicks off STEAM Week with the inaugural STEAM Gala, a high-profile fundraising event benefitting STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art and math) programs.

Enter a world where (S)cience saves lives in death defying stunts. Where (T)echnology reveals new ways to play traditional games. Where (E)ngineering meets (A)rt in a unique dining experience, and where games are (M)athematically scaled to bring out each person’s inner child.

“We’ve reimagined the traditional gala, moving as far away as possible from the tired formula of talking heads and rubber chicken dinners,” said Eric Gradman, CTO and co-founder of Two Bit Circus. “We're excited about the changes we've incorporated into our approach which will make for an unforgettable evening.”

STEAM Gala brings together business leaders, government officials, inventors, and industry luminaries to celebrate and support STEAM education in an exclusive evening full of magic and surprises. Circus tricks, fire-fueled fun, and a dinner menu where guests can opt for “other” instead of traditional utensils, are all designed to encourage out-of-the-box thinking and wonder at what's possible with STEAM.

“I am so proud to be a part of the STEAM movement as well as to be working with Nolan Bushnell and Two Bit Circus,” said John Ward, Vice President of Production for DIRECTV and STEAM Committee Co-Chair. “The STEAM Gala will be a huge event that illuminates the need for STEAM-based curriculum in schools by showcasing the kind of entertaining and engaging atmosphere STEAM disciplines can create for playful learning.”

STEAM Gala will honor two pioneers leading the STEAM movement during the evening’s entertainment program. The first honoree is Richelle Parham, CMO of eBay, presented with the STEAM Leadership award. Albert Manero, part of the University of Central Florida Limbitless Team, will then be presented with the STEAM Innovator Award.

Support for this event comes from DIRECTV, the nation’s leading satellite television service provider committed to initiatives that foster K-12 education, and Intel, designing and building essential technologies for the 21st century. Many of the game installations and workshops at the event are powered by Intel technology. Special thanks goes to JSK Productions and Molly Waseka for their help producing the event.
