Mary Forbes Lovett to Lead Ulmer & Berne’s Real Estate Practice

CLEVELAND--()--Ulmer & Berne LLP is pleased to name Mary Forbes Lovett chair of the firm’s nationally recognized Real Estate Practice. Ms. Lovett, a partner in the firm’s Cleveland office, represents developers, nonprofit organizations, lenders, and investors in a wide variety of urban development projects utilizing federal and state historic, low income, and new market tax credits.

Ms. Lovett focuses her practice on real estate and business law and has significant experience handling the acquisition, financing (including new market, low income, and historic tax credit financing), and all development matters related to real property. She specializes in the development and financing of urban properties and was recognized by CREW for her work related to the largest HUD-financed project in Ohio. Ms. Lovett is a frequent speaker on business and real estate topics including alternative financing techniques, historic tax credits (state and federal), new market tax credits, low income housing tax credits, urban development, negotiating acquisitions and leases, strategies for like-kind exchanges, preservation easements, urban sprawl and eminent domain.

Ms. Lovett has achieved the highest rating, AV Preeminent®, from Martindale-Hubbell®, and has been named to Best Lawyers in America®, Real Estate Law, and the Ohio Super Lawyers list.
