NEWPORT BEACH, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Levetown & Jenkins, LLP is investigating alleged violations of state and federal antitrust laws by the following motion-picture-animation studios:
- Pixar
- LucasFilm
- Dreamworks Animation
- Walt Disney Animation Studios
- Walt Disney Feature Animation
- Digital Domain
- Image Movers Digital
- Sony Pictures Animation
- Sony Pictures Imageworks
The firm’s investigation stems from allegations contained in a Department of Justice case that resulted in a non-monetary settlement between the United States and some of the above-named companies. Subsequent to that settlement, an antitrust case was filed in federal court in California seeking damages and alleging a national antitrust conspiracy among all of the above-named animation studios. The suit alleges that defendants have and continue to conspire to depress wages by agreeing to no poach and other restrictions on recruiting and paying animation talent; workers affected include employees and contractors who work or worked as digital artists, software engineers and other technical and artistic workers between 2004 and today.
Levetown & Jenkins, LLP is a national law firm comprised of former federal and state prosecutors. If you have worked for any of the above-listed companies as a digital artist, software engineer or as another type of technical and artistic works between 2004 and today, as an employee or as a contractor, we’d like to speak with you.
