North Bay Life Science Alliance Applauds Synergy Health’s Move to the North Bay

Petaluma Campus to Employ 20

NOVATO, Calif.--()--The North Bay Life Science Alliance (NBLSA), a collaborative of public and private institutions in California’s North Bay (just north of San Francisco and consisting of Marin, Napa, Solano and Sonoma counties), today congratulated Synergy Health for their move to the North Bay. The NBLSA is dedicated to growing the life science industry in the region.

Synergy Health uses the Electron Beam, a well-established technology, to sterilize, clean and disinfect medical devices, tissue, cleanroom disposables, packaging materials and more. The Petaluma-based operation plans to employ approximately 20 people.

“We see a growing need for our sterilization and other supporting services in the North Bay,” said Todd Gabele, Project Manager of Synergy Health. “We have been very pleased with the help and support of Sonoma County agencies including Sonoma County BEST, the City of Petaluma, and Pacific Gas and Electric, and hope our services will attract new manufacturers to the area as well as help retain existing manufacturers.”

“The North Bay Life Science Alliance is on the right track in helping to recruit and support the life science industry in the four North Bay counties,” said Carolyn Stark, Executive Director of Sonoma County BEST. “We are proud to be a part of this success story.”

The NBLSA launched in June 2014 and has helped secure $2.1 million in state tax credits for North Bay life science companies and helped create more than 200 new jobs for the region.

“The future of the North Bay is in the life sciences,” said Chris Stewart, Chairman and CEO of the NBLSA. “With a high quality of life and a well-educated work force, the North Bay is an attractive place to build and grow a business.”
