Ranjit Sufi Joins Aristotle Capital Management

LOS ANGELES--()--Aristotle Capital Management, LLC (“Aristotle”), a value-oriented investment management firm for institutional and high net worth clients with $8.3 billion of assets under management as of August 31, 2014, today announced Ranjit Sufi has joined the firm as Managing Director, Institutional Sales and Marketing. Sufi will be based in Aristotle’s Los Angeles office and will lead its team of institutional client service and sales professionals.

“Ranjit will be a valuable asset to our team as we continue to expand our investment product platform and enhance our institutional presence,” said Gary Lisenbee, Aristotle’s Co-CEO and Co-Chief Investment Officer. “He has 20 years of experience in executive management and leadership of institutional client service and marketing teams, having worked with some of the top firms in the country. Having started his career as a plan sponsor at Pacific Telesis, Ranjit has a deep understanding of facets within the investment business industry and will be an important bridge between our clients and our investment research, sales and client services teams.”

Prior to joining Aristotle, Sufi was Executive Vice-President at Martin Currie, where he headed the sales and client service team in North America and led the firm’s business development in the U.S. and Canada. Before that, he was a Managing Director at Tradewinds Global Investors, an affiliate of Nuveen Investments. He previously spent nine years at Nicholas Applegate Capital Management where he led a 33-person global sales team and was a member of the company’s Executive Committee. Earlier in his career, he was a Principal at Barclays Global Investors.

Ranjit holds an MBA from Pepperdine University and a Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering from California State University Fresno.
