Azbil Singapore Acquires the Highest L6 License From Singapore’s Building and Construction Authority

TOKYO--()--Azbil Singapore Pte. Ltd. (Headquarters: Singapore, Managing Director: Yusuke Oshida), an overseas subsidiary of the azbil Group, has acquired a L6 license in two categories, Building Automation, Industrial & Process Control Systems, and Electrical & Electronic Materials, Products & Components, under a registration system administered by the Building and Construction Authority (BCA) of Singapore in August 2014.

In Singapore, companies wishing to take part in construction tenders for public-sector projects must obtain registration with the BCA. The BCA grades contractors into six levels according to their financial capability, technical personnel, and relevant track record of the past three years. Registered companies with the highest L6 license are able to tender for government projects of unlimited contract value, which makes it possible to contribute to customers of larger-scale projects. While Azbil Singapore had already acquired a L5 license, by meeting the qualifying requirements for financial capability and relevant track record, it was upgraded to the highest L6 license.

As a result of this achievement, Azbil Singapore expects to raise its level of public confidence among building owners, architectural design firms, and construction-related companies, and increase opportunities to participate in government tenders. With many large-scale construction and infrastructure projects booming in Singapore, Azbil Singapore is aiming to further expand business by winning orders for landmark projects and actively delivering solutions in the areas of energy saving and maintenance service, which are the Company’s strength.

Guided by its philosophy of “human-centered automation,” the azbil Group is globally expanding business in Japan and overseas through its three businesses of Building Automation (BA), Advanced Automation (AA), and Life Automation (LA). The Group will continue to provide products, services, and solutions that create value throughout the building life cycle, and contribute to customers’ businesses around the world.
