ROANOKE, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Delta Dental of Virginia Foundation is accepting grant applications from Virginia non-profit organizations seeking funding for initiatives to improve oral health in the Commonwealth. Applications are being accepted now through September 30, 2014.
“We strongly encourage eligible, non-profit organizations that are working to improve oral health in their communities to apply for a grant,” said George A. Levicki, president, Delta Dental of Virginia Foundation. “By providing the financial support needed by these organizations, together we can increase the number of healthy smiles and healthier Virginians.”
In December 2013, grants totaling $716,000 were awarded to 30 oral health organizations and educational institutions for use in 2014. This funding supports efforts to improve the oral health of Virginians through education, expansion of access to care for the under or uninsured, or research to advance oral health.
Organizations eligible to receive grants include governmental agencies or educational institutions, entities holding a 501(c)(3) tax-exemption, or organizations with a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt fiscal sponsor.
