RESTON, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Software AG (Frankfurt TecDAX: SOW) today announced David Taylor, Vice President of State, Local and Provincial Solutions at Software AG, was elected to the Board of Directors for IJIS Institute, a nonprofit organization that focuses on mission-critical information sharing for justice, public safety and homeland security.
New to the IJIS Institute’s Board of Directors, David Taylor joins ten other IT leaders and represents the only member to be elected for the first time in 2014. David was also appointed to director-at-large during its first executive leadership meeting.

Currently, David Taylor serves as market strategist and subject matter expert for the government practice at Software AG and has over 30 years of public service experience, including holding the title as the longest serving state Chief Information Officer (CIO) in Florida’s history. Previously, David was President of the National Association of Public Health CIOs, has co-chaired committees in various national associations including the National Association of State CIOs, and served as the vice chair of the Florida datacenter board of directors.
