CHICAGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--HearHere Radio Inc. is making its mobile news app available to Android users through the Google Play store today. The Android beta release is accompanied by news of more than 100,000 users of the app on iOS.

Rivet provides a personalized listening experience to smartphone users. Rivet’s announcement comes at a time of significant activity in the field of personalized audio content. In recent weeks, NPR released the NPR One app to deliver individualized content to listeners while Apple acquired and shut down podcast delivery app Swell. Radio Disney is also making a switch to digital, unloading 23 of its 24 terrestrial radio stations.

Rivet News Radio is now available in the Google Play Store. The app continues to be available in the App Store.
