ATLANTA--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Management consulting firm Kurt Salmon is pleased to welcome Jim Avrett as a partner in its Health Care Group.
Mr. Avrett, who will be based out of Kurt Salmon’s Atlanta office, is a transformation expert with nearly 30 years of health care consulting experience. He specializes in assisting health care providers in transitioning from a fee-for-service environment to one of value-based reimbursement and population management.

Mr. Avrett joins Kurt Salmon from health care consulting firm Galloway Consulting, where he served as managing director overseeing large, complex transformation projects that involved adjusting costs, managing clinical portfolios, lowering utilization and growing revenue streams for health systems ranging from academic medical centers to community-based hospitals and their affiliated ambulatory sites and physician practices. Prior to Galloway, Mr. Avrett progressed through several roles with VHA Inc., most recently leading all supply chain function–related strategic planning, relationship management, marketing and sales, and staff management activities for the not-for-profit health care network’s New England and Northeast territories. He also spent five years as executive director of reengineering and integration at the North Broward Hospital District, now known as Broward Health. Mr. Avrett received his MBA from the University of South Florida and is a member of both the American College of Healthcare Executives and the Association for Healthcare Resource & Materials Management.
