Kroll Accelerates Growth within the Compliance Market with Appointment of Three Key Senior Hires

NEW YORK--()--Kroll, the global leader in risk mitigation and response solutions, announced today the appointment of three senior hires to help transform and accelerate growth within the compliance market: Kevin Braine joins the firm as Managing Director, Head of EMEA; Steven Bock was appointed Vice President, Operations and Process Excellence; and John Arvanitis has joined as an Associate Managing Director for the Compliance Practice.

Kevin Braine, formerly of Deloitte LLP, Control Risks and Risk Advisory Group, joins the firm as Managing Director, Head of EMEA. Mr. Braine, who will be based in London, steps into a senior leadership role for the business, responsible for driving forward the expansion of Kroll’s Compliance services throughout the region.

“Kevin has a knowledge of the EMEA market that is second to none,” says Lee Kirschbaum, Senior Vice President and Leader of Kroll’s Compliance business. “He has both seen and driven the evolution of the compliance due diligence market across the region and will no doubt be a significant contributor to the growth of our business on a global basis.”

Steven Bock was appointed Vice President, Operations and Process Excellence. Based in New York City, he joins Kroll after a successful 17-year career at Goldman Sachs and ADP, where he held a variety of top roles spanning the disciplines of business intelligence, anti-money laundering compliance, process control and crisis management. While at Goldman Sachs, Mr. Bock helped build the firm’s global anti-money laundering (AML) program. Previously, he was Vice President for the Business Intelligence Group, where he developed the firm’s AML risk guidelines and overall process for regulatory reporting.

Mr. Kirschbaum says Mr. Bock is a transformational hire. “Steven’s unique blend of AML and business intelligence operations and process experience will allow us to constantly improve our compliance due diligence services, ultimately enabling our clients to focus on what matters to them most.”

John Arvanitis joined Kroll’s Compliance business in June as an Associate Managing Director after a distinguished 27-year career with the U.S. Justice Department, Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA). Mr. Arvanitis has significant experience across a broad range of compliance-related programs, including anti-money laundering, “know your customer,” global AML processes, and program and policy formation.

“I am excited to welcome John to our team. John has an excellent anti-money laundering and compliance background and will further enhance our ability to serve our clients across a broad spectrum of compliance engagements,” says Mr. Kirschbaum. “Given John’s regulatory experience, we are confident that he will be an invaluable resource for our clients.”

“These appointments represent Kroll’s ongoing commitment to excellence in the Compliance market,” says Mr. Kirschbaum. “I am delighted to welcome Kevin, Steven and John to Kroll, and I look forward to working with them as we continue to build Kroll’s best-in-class Compliance capabilities.”
